MULTIPLICITY OF IDENTITY NUMBER IN NIGERIA; LINK TO REGISTER FOR TAX NUMBER

One of the big problems in Nigeria is that of data.

Today the nation currently has different number systems virtually for everything and i believe that this also drives corruption in the nation

Separate numbers for:

1. Birth Certificate

2. International Passport

3. Drivers Number

4. Bank Account Number

5. Bank Verification Number

6. NIN-Nigeria Identification Number

7. Tax Identification Number/Payer ID

8. DEATH CERTIFICATE NUMBER etc

So in a nation, a person will have several identities, is it not possible to integrate all these numbers into one? the most sensible one is the NIN

Specifically registering for Tax ID is a difficult task and there is not one Number acceptable in all states as we speak, what could have solved these problems is the Joint Tax Board (JTB) registration number which most of the States are dragging to adopt. This would have made mobility and accountability easier to Tax Payers.

In an attempt to solve this problem, I have collated websites of some major states from which you can register if you are a residence
