Church today : Forgiveness
I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the Book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see:
This is the dearest that Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.
O, if there's only one song I can sing
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be:
"O what a wonder that Jesus loves me."
Matthew 18:21-35 ASV
Then came Peter and said to him, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? until seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, who would make a reckoning with his servants.
And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, that owed him ten thousand talents.
But forasmuch as he had not wherewith to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
The servant therefore fell down and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And the lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred shillings: and he laid hold on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay what thou owest.
So his fellow-servant fell down and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee.
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay that which was due. So when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were exceeding sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
Then his lord called him unto him, and saith to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou besoughtest me: shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on thee?
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due.
So shall also my heavenly Father do unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.
Life story:
A girl and her fiance were adopted, the guy killed , she was raped for 30hours and let go, the two guys were arrested one killed , the other send to life imprisonment, years latter she was asked have you forgiven them?
She said yes, that she has moved on with her life, she wrote a book called forgiving the dead man working.
1 John 4:20 ASV
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, cannot love God whom he hath not seen.
We all have at one time or the other been hurt by someone, and we have decided not to forgive, by so doing we hold the person in boundage and in turn hold ourselves.
We need to forgive to get your miracles released, both yours and the person who has hurt you.
Principles
1. Forgive those who have sinned against you. Seventy times seven times Matthew 6v12 when you forgive God's love will bring healing. As long as you refused to forgive your heavenly father will not also forgive you
2. Forgive and be forgiven
Matthew 6:14 ASV
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 18, has the classic story of how much God has forgiven us, same way we ought to forgive all who sin against us.
You don't need to go to heaven yo know that your sins have been forgiven you , just search you heart and see it there are people you are holding.
Ephesians 4:32 ASV
and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.
We must learn to tolerate and let go, stop dwelling in the past mistakes of others, let's completely forgive and stop referencing past errors.
We a times get angry on little things like from where to press the toothpaste, from top or from bottom. Let's learn to adapt and tolerate.
For flimsy things many men still beat their wives.
So far you have unforgiving spirit your prayer can never be answered. Learn to reconcile fast. Forgive your wife as two cannot walk together except they agree. Words like am sorry, is healing. It is like women don't easily say sorry.
3. Un forgiveness hinders prayer.
Mark 11:25-26 ASV
And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one; that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
4. Leads to root of bitterness
Hebrews 12:15 ASV
looking carefully lest there be any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;
You need to look at your relationship with people.
Forgiving other is tough but has to be done ,grace makes it easy to do.
Our health and forginess.
Un forgiveness affect your health, study have sown it leads to insomnia, blood pressure, emotional inbalance. We have to forgive from the heart and truly to let the burden and loads go.
Man nurses grudges God forgives totally.
Men take note of offense God blot and clean sins. Ask for grace to be like God.
